William R. Walker Bedstead

The Dogwood tree and the stump have been removed. The gate will now open and shut.

We can turn our attention to the Walker bedstead.

The bedstead is in pretty good shape. It is sunken and has one broken side rail that needs repair.

James is shown excavating the bedstead.

Here the epoxy has been applied to the side rail and the side rail has been registered and clamped until dry.

You can see from the photo how much the bedstead had sunk.

The headstone, side rails, and foot stone will be raised 4 to 5 inches and will rest on a bed of sand and gravel.

Re-set is complete.

The open joints will be infilled and landscaping will be done at the end of the project.
